Myriam Heuertz’s biosketch

Myriam Heuertz is a plant population geneticist at INRA Bordeaux in France (since 2014). She holds a PhD from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, 2003) and has postdoctoral experience at Uppsala University in Sweden (2003-2004), CRP-Gabriel Lippmann in Luxembourg (2005), ULB (2006-2008) and Real Jardín Botánico - CSIC in Spain (2009). She was a Ramón y Cajal Fellow at INIA in Spain (2010 - 2014) and a Senior Marie Curie Fellow at Université de Fribourg in Switzerland (2013-2014). Myriam Heuertz' main research interests are in eco-evolutionary processes in tree species and species complexes, especially from tropical regions. She has published 56 papers in SCI-indexed journals (ca. 3300 citations, H-index of 29 in October 2019). She is Editor for Molecular Ecology and Plant Ecology and Evolution and Recommender for PCI Evolutionary Biology. She is the Coodinator of IUFRO Working Party 2.08.01 on Tropical Tree Breeding and Genetic Resources and Leader of WG3 on Genomics and Ecosystem services of COST Action G-BiKE (CA18134).
