The following applies to both counselling and life coaching, in all 3 modes:
Getting Started
First contact will usually occur via email or phone. This will involve a brief introduction and a session appointment arrangement.
The first session:
Will usually occur by phone or an online meeting (Zoom or Google Meet).
If interested in avatar-to-avatar sessions, we will begin on Zoom for a demonstration. This will assist your participation decision as well as provide "getting started" support, should you decide to proceed.
Session Duration
A session duration is 60 minutes.
Session Frequency
Session frequency may occur as:
A once off session.
A regular occurrence using:
Regular patterns of times/days. (e.g. 11am first Monday of every month, or 5pm every Tuesday, etc.)
Flexible times/days, decided at the end of each session.
Session Structure
How the session proceeds depends on the client's needs, focus, and interests.
A very basic structure of a session would involve:
An introduction: greetings, followed by a discussion about the client's needs, interests, and desired focus for the session.
The main body of the session would aim to address the identified focus discussed in the introduction.
The conclusion would wind up the session, identify any tasks/strategies to be addressed, and future appointments made where appropriate.
Cessation of Sessions
You may cease counselling/life coaching at any stage.
Please take note of the Cancellation Policy if this involves cancelling a set appointment date.
You would be welcome to re-engage counselling/life coaching at a later time, if so desired.
