Only candidates who have completed all the credits required by the Program’s Internal Regulations and have passed both the Foreign Language Proficiency and Qualification exams are eligible to request authorization for the defense of their dissertation or thesis, provided there are no other pending issues with the Program. Any pending matters must be resolved before submitting the defense request.

The defense must be requested by the student from the Program Coordinator, with the advisor’s approval.

The student must submit a SEI process ( https://www.ufmt.br/site/sei/pagina/acessos-1603224167/1737 ) to the Program’s office, containing:

• Defense Request Form

• PDF version of the dissertation or thesis

• Defense Announcement Poster

• External Faculty Registration Form (for members from other institutions).
