New Extension - The Nepcote Room

Findon Village Hall Extension - Past, Present and Future

The extension is nearing completion! We plan to arrange opportunities for regular hirers to view the new facilities as soon as possible and also a similar opportunity for the village as a whole. We do appreciate the patience and understanding of both hirers and used over the past months as the noise has sometimes been both loud and long... We also very much appreciate the efforts of Findon Parish Council who have not only made this possible by raising the funds but have also managed the project on everyone's behalf.

The Village Shop has very kindly funded the sound system for the extension which will soon be installed and we are working on the kitchen which will be funded by an earmarked 50% grant from some years ago with the balance coming from our own Trust funding.

The extension will now be known as the Nepcote Room whilst the original hall becomes the Chanctonbury Room. Nepcote is partially open whilst we go through the final issues of de-snagging, sorting out the gas supply and all the other tings that need to be done - the kitchen has now been fitted and is up and running.

The IS an issue with reverberation or echo in Nepcote in particular and a degree of romo-to-room noise transmission. We are aware of this and are working on implementing the most cost effective solution that we can, quickly.
