Volunteers - we need more and for a number of different roles
Gardening Team
The hall gardens have been lovingly maintained for many years by a team that has been, over the years, shrinking slowly. We are now approaching the point where we really need both reinforcements and, given the impending retirement of Richie Lines, who has led the team for many years, new leadership. If you are interested in this opportunity and want to know more, please contact Roger Stone at chair@findonvillagehall.net
Manitenance Team
The hall is, believe it or not(!), an endless source of little and not so little, jobs that need to be done. Those that we have to , we outsource to local tradesmen or companies but, wherever we can, we do it ourselves using whoever in our team has the relevant skills. As for the gardens, we are losing Richie from this team and need extra capacity to support the rest of us who do what we can. So, if you have reasonable do it yourself skills (or a relevant professional background!!!) and would like to get a bit more practice.... Contact Roger Stone : chair@findonvillagehall.net
The Events Team
Film night? Summer Fete?, Race Night? These are the people who make these things, and others, happen. We really need more volunteers to support our events team - there is always plenty to do, a genuinely great team to work alongside and, of course, that warm glow you get for working up a good sweat, incurring minor injuries , staying behind to clear up after everyone else has gone, all for the benefit of the community.... You might even, occasionally, get a free burger! Contact David Gear on events@findonvillagehall.net
Lambs Tails
Lambs Tails - Every Tuesday morning during term time we run this group for families to bring their babies and toddlers for a chance to get together, have a coffee and a biscuit, have a chat and give the kids an opportunity to play together. We get them singing songs, read them a story, have a snack/fruit and something to drink - but we need more volunteers so that we don't have to rely on the same people every week! Even if you can only do one or two sessions a term or be on hand when we are "a person down" - it would help! Contact Sue Stone on lambstails@findonvillagehall.net
