Community Commercial Hirers are defined as clubs, societies or individuals who do not have charitable status and who book the hall for activities regularly throughout the year. They may or may not charge membership fees or levy an entry charge.
Private/Commercial Hirers are individuals or groups of individuals who organise parties or ticketed events to be held at the hall.
Damage Deposit: A deposit is charged at the time of hire this deposit will be refunded within 28 days of the hire provided that no damage or loss have been caused to the hall or contents, the premises have been left secure and in a clean and tidy condition and no complaints have been made to the trust about noise or other disturbances during the hiring. The deposit is £100 for hire periods ending before 6.00pm, £200 for hire periods ending after 6:00pm and £500 for block bookings.
Booking Times:
The start and end times of your booking must include the amount of time you need for setup and clearing - for example, if you are running an event from 1pm to 4pm but need half an hour to get ready and to tidy up, you should book from 12.30 to 4.30. Very often the hall runs events back-to-back and it is not possible to 'get in early'. Similarly, people booking all-day events should not assume they can leave clearing up to the next morning unless they have booked the time.
Cleaning:
The Hirer is responsible for leaving the premises and surrounding area in a clean and tidy condition, properly locked and secured unless directed otherwise and any contents temporarily removed from their usual positions properly replaced, otherwise be subject to additional charge.
