Theft Prevention
There are no facilities at the FCECHS to secure valuables. It is important that you do not bring valuables that cannot be secured. The best method of theft prevention is to be conscious that theft may occur and strive to eliminate those opportunities. Each student and employee has a responsibility in the area of theft prevention; however, the school cannot be responsible for items that are lost or stolen. If you become a victim of theft, report it to administration immediately. Please do not attempt to investigate matters of this nature.
Inappropriate Actions/Behavior on FCECHS/VGCC Campuses
· There will be no kissing
· There will be no hugging
· There will be no handholding
· There will be no inappropriate touching of any kind
It is imperative that FCECHS students make decisions that reflect positively on the Early College and Vance-Granville Community College. Some examples of inappropriate behavior are:
· Dating/intimate relationships with VGCC students
· Being in nonessential areas on campus
· Being dismissed from a college class
· Failure to return to FCECHS as directed during breaks in their schedule, etc.
As an Early College student you will visit various schools in the school district. You are to conduct yourself with the decorum expected of a high school/early college student. Any administrator in the district has the authority to redirect a student when inappropriate behavior is displayed. Any student who fails to adhere to directions given is subject to disciplinary action.
Seniors & Super Seniors
Seniors and Super Seniors are allowed to utilize VGCC library/computer lab. In order to utilize these facilities EC students must sign in on the high school side and communicate with the secretary that they are heading to the college side of campus. This privilege will be taken away from students that do not follow these expectations. Freshmen – Juniors have 5 minutes to report to the high school after attending their college class. Seniors & Super Seniors need to report to the high school side to check in when they arrive on campus and check out before leaving.
