Check-in/Check-Out
Attendance is extremely important to the success of our school. In rare cases when a student needs to be signed in or signed out of school, the parent/guardian and the student are to report to the Early College office to see Mrs. Clinard to sign in and submit necessary documentation.
Early sign-out does not include students completing college courses in 4th period. Seniors and Super Seniors are the ONLY students that have permission to leave if that student has an 80% or higher average grade in all of his/her classes. The student must produce that information to the secretary, school counselor or principal if they are asking to leave early. A list of students that may leave early will be kept in the main office. Students that leave early cannot return. Seniors - Super Senior students who have a college course at the end of the school day (i.e., 2:30) may end 10-15 minutes early from when students have officially completed their instructional day and may depart the building to their rides without a parent signing them out. However, the students must sign out of the office on the high school sign at all times!!!
ALL RIDERS WILL NEED A DATED, SIGNED NOTE from a parent/guardian with current phone number.
Student’s self-check-out procedures are as follows:
1. For self-check- out, students must have submitted a dated, signed note from a parent with a current phone number given to front office staff.
2. Front office will verify the authenticity of the note by contacting the parent including confirming transportation involving riding with another person or another person riding with that student or any other form of leaving campus other than school transportation.
3. All students authorized to self-check-out must have signed out at the computer in the office. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
4. During the two weeks high school courses are in, but college courses have not started or have ended, seniors and super seniors with self-check-out permission are authorized to depart campus as long as they have completed all high school courses and testing for that day. Students must sign out on the high school side before leaving campus.
