Intermediate Challenge Tasks
We want to give students the opportunity to really challenge their math thinking. The links below provide different opportunities for students to do that with the tasks selected. Each task has a link to a google form that students can fill out when they have completed the task. This will be shared with our math team who will check out the awesome math thinking and give us the opportunity to share feedback with your child and celebrate their findings.
These tasks involve looking at images and using what you know to estimate the given amount in the picture.
Open Middle Problems
Open middle problems are great for students to solve problems in a way that makes sense to them. An “open middle” meaning that there are multiple ways to approach and ultimately solve the problem.
