Onshape is a Cloud-based 3D design software that works on any device with an internet connection, including Chromebook and tablets. Onshape's intuitive user interface makes it ideal for learning parametric design that can be used to produce 3D renderings and 2D drawings.

In WDA, Onshape will be used to teach "Intro to CAD and 3D Design" (levels 1 and 2). Ounce students have mastered Onshape, they can use Inventor for projects in levels 3 and 4 if they desire, are preparing for the industry certification, or their project warrants it. FCPS has an "FCPS Onshape" account and students MUST use fcps.onshape.com.
