X-Carve is a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Router. This machine can do extremely complex designs. There is a learning curve that users need to go through to go from "Idea" to "product". You may hear the phrase "CAM", referring to "Computer Aided Manufacturing". Students will design in a design software such as Onshape, AutoCAD, or Inventor to produce files that can be added to "Easel" to create the G-Code (tooling path) for the router to follow.
