In WDA, 3D printing can be infused into multiple projects throughout the levels. This process can be used to produce a variety of parts, jigs, fixtures, pieces necessary for students to create projects they design in Onshape or Inventor. Students should be competent in this process by level 4 to be able to infuse it within larger projects.

Students Design in OnShape or Inventor
Students download the .STL file of their final design.
Students Submit that .STL file via Schoology
Teacher or Student downloads the .STL File
Teacher or Student uploads the .STL File into the Slicing Software (Dremel= IdeaBuilder or Didgilab, Simplify3D, XYZWare, Etc.)
Teacher or Student "Slices" the file with the appropriate settings for that print
Teacher or Student Downloads the .gCode/file.
Teacher or Student Saves the .gCode to a SD Card (IT IS NOT ADVISED TO USE THE USB CABLE)
The SD Card goes into the printer
"Build" (print) from SD Card.
