AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software. It designs in 2D and is used in both Architecture and Product Design. This is an entry level CAD program.

In WDA, AutoCAD will be used to introduce basic CAD Skills related to Architecture Design. This software will be used to produces 2D technical drawing for basic structures and Architectural components. WDA 1, 2, and 3 would be best and then have the student move to Revit for the BIM/3D modeling components.
