ACCUPLACER Testing

ACCUPLACER evaluates students' skills in reading, writing and math to assess their preparedness for introductory credit-bearing college courses. Academic advisors and counselors at Mineral Area College use your ACCUPLACER test results to help place you in classes that match your skill level. ACCUPLACER tests help identify your knowledge, strength, and needs in math, reading and writing. Along with information about your academic background, goals, and interests. Your ACCUPLACER results help you choose courses that match your skill level and give you the best opportunity for success.

The Accuplacer tests use a multiple choice format. There is no time limit on the tests, so you can focus on doing your best to demonstrate your skills.

ACCUPLACER is replacing the COMPASS test. Existing Compass test scores will be honored.

Two main differences from the COMPASS
