The No. 9 Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (10-1-2, 3-0-2 CC) prepares for a battle with Centennial Conference (CC) foe Johns Hopkins (8-2-3, 3-1-1 CC) at Tylus Field Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The Diplomats currently hold a six-game unbeaten streak where they have outscored opponents, 18-6, in that span.
Last Week
The Diplomats picked up two wins last week, including a huge 4-2 victory over No. 16 Muhlenberg on Saturday. F&M then went on to defeat Lancaster Bible, 3-1, in its final non-conference contest of the regular season on Monday night.
In F&M's 4-2 win over the Mules, the Diplomats registered back-to-back goals in the 11th minute from Oscar Horwitz and Nathan Schlessinger to give the hosts a 2-1 lead. Horwitz finished the game with two goals in the match. Goalkeeper Nolan Booth made five saves, including a diving save in the 75th minute to keep Muhlenberg from tying the game. Franklin & Marshall earned a 3-1 victory in its final non-conference game of the regular season Monday night against Lancaster Bible. Horwitz scored the first two goals of the game to propel the Diplomats ahead. The goals bring Horwitz' season-total to 14 goals to lead the Centennial Conference. The Chargers cut the deficit in half early in the second half, but Jack Nury buried an insurance goal in the 76th minute to put away LBC. Last Time vs. Johns Hopkins
Then-ranked No. 9 F&M took down No. 15 Johns Hopkins, 1-0, in the final game of the 2022 regular season. Shay Adamson '23 scored the game-winning goal in the 27th minute. Nathan Schlessinger heaved a throw-in inside the box that was headed past the JHU goalkeeper by Adamson. Sam Farrell '23 made six saves in net to keep the Blue Jays off the scoreboard. In their efforts, Adamson and Farrell both earned CC Player of the Week honors. With the win, the Diplomats locked up the No. 1 seed in the CC playoffs. Read the full recap here.

JHU brings a four-game winning streak into Saturday's contest against F&M, most recently defeat Salisbury, 2-0, on Wednesday.
