The No. 18 Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (8-1-2, 2-0-2 CC) begins three-game homestand that features two matches this week. The Diplomats battle No. 16 Muhlenberg (8-1-1, 3-0-1 CC) on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. before hosting Lancaster Bible (4-5-2, 1-1 United East) on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
Last Week
Franklin & Marshall went 3-0 on the road last week with two wins coming against Centennial Conference (CC) opponents. The Diplomats began the week with a 3-1 victory at Ursinus Wednesday evening. The Diplomats went on to erase an early 1-0 McDaniel lead by scoring three-unanswered goals in the second half to push past the Green Terror, 3-1. Nathan Schlessinger tied the game in the 53rd minute for his first score of the season. Horwitz buried the game-winner, while Koa Kaliebe added an insurance goal to solidify the win for F&M. F&M cruised to a 4-0 shutout victory over Alvernia Monday evening - picking up the third shutout win for the Diplomats this fall. Owen Sobel registered his first-career goal to give Franklin & Marshall the lead in the 11th minute. Kaliebe followed Sobel's score with goals in the 35th minute and 51st minute. The Diplomats scoring was capped in the 78th minute as Miguel Rosa found the back of the net for his first-career goal.
