The Writing Center will be closed from June 2025 through September 2025.
Each year, our Writing Center is staffed by a team of American Fulbright Fellows, selected for their academic excellence, cultural insight, and dedication to education. These Fellows are cultural ambassadors, bringing unique perspectives that enrich our services and provide the IE community with cross-cultural insights into effective writing and communication.
Meet the Current Fellows
Our current Fulbright Fellows come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of skills to help individuals succeed in their writing journeys.
A New Team Each Year
One of the unique aspects of the IE University Writing Center is our yearly rotation of Fulbright Fellows. Each academic year introduces a fresh team of scholars, offering new perspectives and expertise to IE University. This dynamic approach provides our IE community with access to varied teaching styles, methodologies, and global viewpoints, ensuring that support in writing is always innovative and enriching.
The Fulbright Program is a prestigious international educational exchange initiative sponsored by the U.S. government. Established in 1946, it aims to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries. The program offers funding for students, scholars, and professionals to study, teach, or conduct research abroad, as well as for foreign nationals to do the same in the U.S. The Fulbright Program emphasizes cultural exchange and academic collaboration, fostering global partnerships and addressing shared challenges.
About the Fulbright Spain Commission
The Fulbright Program is one of the most powerful instruments of public diplomacy known today. Participants, selected based on transparent criteria that emphasize their academic and professional merits as well as leadership potential, have the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research while exchanging ideas and contributing to solutions for global challenges. In recognition of its impact, the program received the Premio Príncipe de Asturias de Cooperación Internacional in 2014. The Commission for Cultural, Educational, and Scientific Exchange between Spain and the United States was established in Spain in 1958 through an executive agreement between the two countries and is commonly known as the Fulbright Spain Commission for the scholarships it administers. The agreement was renewed in 1994, expanding the original goals and emphasizing its independence, while further fostering academic exchange and intercultural understanding between the two nations.
