CLASS VISITS
CLASS VISITS
The Writing Center offers class visits where we can come directly to your classroom to introduce students to the Writing Center's services and discuss how to approach writing tasks effectively. A Writing Center consultant will explain the types of support available to students, from 1:1 consultations to writing workshops.
To arrange a visit, simply contact the Writing Center at writingcenter@faculty.ie.edu with details about your course and preferred timing. We aim to make these visits as relevant as possible to your students' current assignments.

SYLLABUS STATEMENT
Including a Writing Center statement in your syllabus encourages students to take full advantage of our services and clarifies how they can benefit from writing support throughout the semester.
Here is a suggested statement you can include:
"IE University Writing Center: The IE University Writing Center is available to assist students with all stages of the writing process, from brainstorming and drafting to revising and final editing. Services are free, confidential, and open to all students, regardless of their writing skill level. To make an appointment, please visit IE University Writing Center or email writingcenter@faculty.ie.edu."
PROOF-OF-VISIT
PROOF-OF-VISIT
For students who require proof of their consultation with the Writing Center for academic purposes, please advise them to request a proof-of-visit confirmation of their session from their consultant. Only the consultant who conducted the session can provide this documentation. The proof-of-visit will be emailed to both the student and professor.
