WRITING PARTNERS POLICIES

• Weekly Meetings: Participants are required to meet with their Writing Partner once per week at an agreed-upon time for the entirety of the semester.

• Duration: Meetings should last approximately 30 minutes.

• Format: Meetings can take place in person or virtually, depending on partners’ preferences.

• Additional Appointments: Participants can schedule additional appointments in the Writing Center, but there is no guarantee they will work with their Writing Partner.

For each meeting, please come prepared with:

• An assignment, prompt, or any writing task you'd like to discuss.

• A clear idea of your focus for the session (e.g., brainstorming ideas, refining your argument, improving your writing style).

Preparation is key to ensuring that each meeting is productive and tailored to your needs.

• Importance of Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial for the success of the Program.

• Attendance Policy: If a student misses more than two meetings without prior notice, they may be removed from the Program.

• Rescheduling: If a meeting needs to be rescheduled, partners should notify each other at least 24 hours in advance.

• Emergency Protocol: In case of emergencies or unavoidable circumstances, please inform your partner as soon as possible.
