WRITING SUPPORT:
What can I expect during a consultation?
During a session, a consultant will discuss your project and specific concerns with you. Together, you’ll identify your goals and develop strategies to move your writing forward.
At what stage of the writing process should I come in?
You’re welcome to visit at any stage, whether you have a polished draft or just initial notes and ideas. Early feedback can often be the most impactful.
How many areas can we cover in one session?
In a single visit, you can expect to focus on 2 or 3 specific concerns. This targeted approach helps you make meaningful progress without feeling overwhelmed.
What should I bring to my appointment?
It's helpful to bring relevant materials, such as drafts, outlines, prompts, or notes. This gives your consultant a clearer understanding of your project and concerns.
Can I get help with writing in languages other than English?
If you’re looking for support in a language other than English, please check if we have resources available. Some consultants may specialize in multilingual writing.
Are there specific writing styles or formats you can help with?
Yes, we can assist with various styles and formats, including AP, APA, MLA, Chicago, and more. Just let us know which style you’re working with!
Can I bring group projects or collaborative writing?
Yes, group projects are welcome! It’s best for all group members to attend the session together, as this allows for effective collaboration and feedback.
What if I'm working on a long-term project like a thesis?
For long-term projects, you can inquire about joining the Writing Partners Program for more structured support throughout your writing journey.
