RECeiVING MAIL

We encourage you to have family and friends send you letters, cards, or post cards from home. You should have them sent to your address, either the Residence address or the address of your apartment.

RECEIVING PACKAGES

Important: Please be advised that some larger packages can be held at customs or at the international mail office (Correo Internacional). It can be time consuming to obtain, so we recommend bringing any important items with you and asking family and friends to send only letters and small items.

Correos is the Spanish Post office. The following image is an image of a mailbox, which you can find around Barcelona. You can also go into a correos office to send mail. There is one designated correos office in each neighborhood in Barcelona.

To send mail to other countries, you will need an international stamp. You can buy stamps at Tobacco shops (labeled Tabacs), you can find these around Barcelona. Typically an international stamp costs around 2 euro.

We encourage you to send postcards to friends and family back home, but again, we do not encourage you to send packages.
