ABOUT
The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) is an initiative established in 1998 to enhance the quality of higher education across Southeast Asia. It aims to harmonize educational standards and promote continuous improvement among universities in the ASEAN region.
Key Objectives of AUN-QA
Harmonization of Standards: Develop and implement a common framework for quality assurance to ensure consistency and comparability of academic programs across ASEAN universities.
·Continuous Improvement: Encourage ongoing enhancement of teaching, research, and administrative processes within higher education institutions.
Capacity Building: Provide training and resources to develop quality assurance professionals and strengthen institutional capabilities.
AUN-QA Assessment Process
AUN-QA conducts assessments at both the program and institutional levels. These assessments involve a peer-review process where external experts evaluate various aspects, including:
· Program aims and learning outcomes
· Curriculum design and delivery
· Teaching and learning strategies
· Student assessment methods
· Quality of academic staff
· Support services
· Facilities and infrastructure
· Quality management and continuous improvement mechanisms
