Everybody Matters (EM) provides exceptional emotional support to vulnerable students throughout the Valley filling a huge Equity gap for those children who would not otherwise receive these services! Since its inception 3 years ago, EM has taught over 1,000 children valuable coping skills that they are able to use in real time during times of stress, and over 96% of teachers who have referred children would recommend EM to others. By providing the services for free to children at their schools, parents don’t need to take time off work to transport their children for services nor do they need to be concerned about the financial ramifications of getting their children help. Also, by utilizing college level social work, psychology, counseling and family studies interns, EM is also providing a robust internship experience for the next generation of helping professionals and launching well trained helpers into the field. Everybody Matters will have a lasting impact on the children served as they are learning coping skills that will last them a lifetime.
