Mallory Lakin

Mallory Lakin is beyond excited to be interning with Everybody Matters this year. While she is extremely passionate about social work, it is not where her educational path began. She attended the University of Kansas (Rock chalk!) and received her Bachelor’s in Science of Journalism. In every job and volunteer opportunity she has ever had, she has been working with children. From being a camp counselor to a preschool teacher, it is clear that children have always been a passion of hers. Her shift to social work will allow her to be able to continue that work and hopefully make even a greater impact. She grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is a Phoenician for life. When she’s not at school or interning, she enjoys playing with her dog, Olivia, and spending time with her big family. She already loves the work she is doing with Everybody Matters and can’t wait to see what experiences this internship brings!
