This is the illuminated elevator shaft going up to the 450th floor of Tokyo Tower. It was really cool to see our elevator's path all lit up.
This is the folding mechanism of a Japanese sun umbrella taken at the Peony garden in Ueno Park. The detail in the mechanism, and the overall color of the scene, made it stand out to me.

This is an upside down anchor taken off a pier in Hakodate, Hokkaido. What caught my eye is how, taken upside down, it created the kanji 大, or "large," from its shadow.
