The Brick

Originally the Brick Saloon built by A. J. Severe.

The Brick, A popular area for saloons and a convenient location near the Courthouse kept A.J. Severe’s building in demand by saloon keepers downstairs and court trials upstairs for the first twenty years until 1899 when Minnie Pimentel purchased it for her post office, market and sporting goods store for the next twenty years. At some point the Corner Saloon and The Brick combined.
