Harvey Ladd House

Building moved from Bodie

This house used to be one of the ranch houses out at the Hunewill Ranch. It belonged to Harvey Ladd who was a friend of the Hunewill's and also worked for them. He had it moved to Emigrant St in 1891 or 1892 (first appears in tax records in 1892). At that time it was only a 4 room house, 2 rooms down stairs, and 2 rooms up stairs. One room for cooking, eating, and socializing, 3 rooms for sleeping. This home was moved here after a land trade with the Hunewills by Ladd’s parents.
