The Nebraska ESUs are excited to announce our Digital Citizenship Contest: Be CyberSmart!
Students have the option to create a poster or PSA (public service announcement) that showcases how to be a CyberSmart citizen based on their learning from this year's content. All entries must be original creations and must be compliant with the established guidelines below. Submission will be accepted all year until the deadline will be March 24, 2023. Entries will be judged in March and winners announced in April.

Digital Citizenship Symposium 2022-23
Contest Guideline
All entries must revolve around this year’s theme of “Be CyberSmart”.
All entries must convey a positive approach to Digital Citizenship.
Groups
Students may work on their entry as a group of no more than 3 students. This entry would be judged as a group entry and would follow the same judging guidelines as an individual entry.
Poster Entries
Can be either hand-drawn, or computer-generated (accessed in Google Drive). If hand-drawn, please scan or take a photo of the project to send digitally.
May not include the use of copyrighted materials.
Photos are allowed as long as the student has either taken the photo or is the subject of the photo.
Video Entries
PSA’s can be no longer than 3 minutes and must be accessible by the judges. These can be saved to a Google Drive.
Use royalty free images and music. (link to Creative Commons - coming soon)

Judging Procedures
All entries will be judged according to the following criteria.
Originality of content.
Creativity, originality, and relevance of entries based on the topics on our website and/or the theme of “Be CyberSmart”
Compliance to established guidelines.
Entries will be accepted until March 17, 2023 and winners will be announced in April.
