Our Digital Citizenship workgroup for Nebraska ESUs curated resources and created this online module for teachers! Special thanks to Laurie Kerr from ESU 3 for getting it put together!
The whole module should take approximately 20-30 minutes (about 5-8 minutes per section).
A printable/downloadable certificate is generated upon completion of the entire module, but the user must complete it in one setting as progress is not saved. Plan on completed all sections in one setting!
Topics:
Student Data Privacy: This module addresses ways for teachers to ensure student data privacy for both in-person activities and remote settings.
Copyright for Remote Learning: This module addresses how teachers can remain compliant with copyright guidelines in both in-person and virtual classrooms.
Video Conferencing Management: In this module teachers will learn about best practices for managing remote instruction through use of video conferences.
Digital Citizenship in the Classroom: This module identifies critical concepts of digital citizenship and outlines the best resources for teachers to provide instruction on this topic.
Evaluating Digital Information: This module addresses the hows and whys of evaluating digital resources to develop and promote civic online reasoning.
