Due to positive feedback from last year's virtual DCS, we are again offering the opportunity for students and their teachers to engage in online DigCit content and a contest!
MS/HS Students: This year education attorney Bobby Truhe from KSB Law provided videos for presentation topics. In addition, Lincoln Public Schools created a Digital Media Literacy video! ESU staff have created the accompanying activities for those videos meant for students in grades 7-12.
We have also updated content and activities for elementary students!
~Grades K-4 teachers can use the Netsmartz "Into the Cloud" Season 1 or Season 2, or both. Teachers can go through the lessons with their students, then have them review the content with a fun quiz (as a class, in a group, or individually). Please also complete the "earn your certificate" form for your class(es)!
~Grades 5-6 teachers can use the curated Commonsense Education content provided. Teachers can go through the lessons with their students, then have them review the content with a fun quiz (as a class, in a group, or individually). Each student can complete the "earn your certificate" form for each lesson, which will then be emailed to the teacher!
Returning this year: Digital Citizenship Message Contest! There will be age categories for several grade levels. I
