Teachers can:

  • Enhance synchronous learning experiences by making slide presentations interactive.

  • Gather information about their social emotional status.

  • Formatively assess at the beginning of class (bell ringers), during the class (checks for understanding), or at the end of class (exit tickets).

  • Create individual assignments for asynchronous learning experiences.

  • Create an interactive vocabulary lesson using the Flashcard Factory (an extension of Pear Deck).

  • Ensure student participation.

  • Combine Pear Deck with other apps such as Flipgrid, Padlet, Newsela, etc. to further engage students.

  • Utilize the teacher dashboard to reflect on student progress, share takeaways with students, and provide feedback.
