Poland,officially the Republic of Poland, is a country located in Central Europe. It is divided into 16 administrative provinces called voivodeships, covering an area of 312,696 km2 (120,733 sq mi), and has a largely temperate seasonal climate.Poland has a population of over 38 million people and is the fifth-most populous member state of the European Union.Warsaw is the nation's capital and largest metropolis. Other major cities include Kraków, Łódź, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, and Szczecin.
POLAND
The school is located in Żoliborz, one of the district of the capital city of Warsaw. It is a green part, with a lot of artists, soldiers, journalists or writers living here, so the social background is very varied: we have children of well-known people in Poland, but on the other hand there are children endangered with social exclusion: with disadvantaged families (crime related, alcoholic), from the orphanage, or with behaviour disorders. There are also immigrant children from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Iraq and other countries. However, the school reaches top scores in ranks od primary schools. There are over 900 students and 120 teachers. We have some sport classes: our students train swimming, volleyball and archery. Our students' age ranges from 7 to 15, they learn English (since the beginning) and French or German since the 7th grade. 2. We'd like to join the project, because we want to raise our teaching skills and make our methodology more experienced. We have many students that need to improve their self-consciousness and language abilities and the project will definetly help them. There are more and more foreign students in our school, that's why we want to raise awareness for cultural diversity. 3. The key teacher at school is English teacher, Michał Szymański. There's a group of 20 teachers more willing to take part in the project, also with some Erasmus+ experience, who will take the lead in any case. 4. We can bring much experience to the project - this will be the third international project in 6 years and we are prepared to take an active part in it. Our school is well-prepared to be a host for the delegations from other schools and our students willingly take part in all the activities that include international cooperation. Our teachers are well skilled specialists, who always want to make their knowledge bigger and they like to exchange their experience with other teachers. We cooperate with Warsaw University, training their students for teachers and we also take part in the University projects.

One upon a time it was a king. His name was Popiel and was living in atown Kruszwica.
He loved spending time with his wife, but he didn't think about his kingdom. His cousins didn't like him because they never saw Popiel at any council.
One day he wanted to be betterking, but when his wife heard that she was angry. She was so happy when her husband spent time with her. She said him how to obey any of kings responsibilities. They did a big stodge with poison and invite Popiel's cousins. The cousins were dead and king Popiel threw their remains into a near by lake called Gopło. Then thousands of mice comeout of the lake. They did not touch anyone orany thing exept the royal castle. Terrifield, Popiel and his wife fled by a wooden boatto the ot her side of the lake. Later the bodies of the dead Popiel and his wife were found.

His powers reliedon summoningupthe spirit of Polish King Sigismund Augustus' deceased wife, also he could made gold from nothing, he had as much gold as he wanted, and he could heal dead. Whent he Devi lwanted take him to the hell he pried and the god helped him and casted him to the moon.
STORY OF PAN TWARDOWSKI
He was a nobleman who made a deal whit the Devil. The soul of Twardowski was exchanged for magic powers– summoning his dream wife, making gold and healing people. The Devil said that Twardowski will die when he comesto Rome. He comed to a inn which name was Rome then the Devil taked him but Twardowski prayed, and the god taked him to the moon.

Warsaw Mermaid is a character from the legend of the Warsaw Mermaid.Thereare several statues of mermaid in Warsaw, she always holds a shield in one hand and a sword in the other.
The coat of arms of Warsaw presents a mermaid with a sword and shield. According to legends, she promised to protect our city.
