What a bonnie wee day we had!
In celebration of our Scottish Showcase, Primary 3.2 had a wee Scottish afternoon! We looked at artwork from famous artist Gillian Kyle and recreated our own versions of her famous 'Irn-Bru' pop art. We of course, had to celebrate with some traditional Scottish snacks- shortbread and irn-bru (which went down a treat!).
M and L even enjoyed a little jig!
The Day we Saw the Loch Ness Monster!
In writing this week, we were working on recording facts and feelings in the form of a diary entry. We used our Scottish Context for Learning on Myths and Legends to imagine we had met Nessie during a trip to Loch Ness!
Take a read at some of the adventures that we had!
We explored some more dances in PE this week including The Military Two Step and The Canadian Barn Dance.
My favourite is dancing the two step one to Call Me Maybe!
This dance is much faster than the others.
I like the Canadian Barn Dance as its a lot of hopping and jumping!
It's cool to be kind! 💙
In Health and Wellbeing this week, we discussed what it means to be a good friend. We talked about how you can show kindness to others and then made little information posters to put up around our classroom and corridors!
As January is Scottish Focus Month, we have extended this into our PE lesson and have been learning some Scottish Country Dancing! We started by learning The Gay Gordons to the traditional music and also to some more modern tunes!
It's a cold one at the MUGA this week! ❄️
We enjoyed getting wrapped up and embracing the cold weather this week at the MUGA. We played lots of running games including 'Disco Tig' to keep our bodies warm!
P3.2 have a growth mindset 🧠
At the beginning of this year, we talked about having a growth mindset as we move into the new year. We drew our little smart brains, and we wrote positive affirmations that we wanted to take into the new year.
