Principals are responsible for the selection of teaching and learning resources used in their school following the GI.AR – Teaching and Learning Resources Administrative Regulation criteria.
Teachers, as outlined in the Alberta Education Teaching Quality Standard (TQS): Demonstrating a Professional Body of Knowledge, plan and design learning activities that address the learning outcomes outlined in their assigned programs of study while also striving to “incorporate a range of instructional strategies, including the appropriate use(s) of digital technology, according to the context, content, desired outcomes and the learning needs of students.”
