This course provides Edmonton Public Schools teaching staff the opportunity to earn graduate studies credit for their participation in Division professional development activities offered by Technology Integration and Planning Support (TIPS) consultants.

This professional development series equips educational leaders with essential strategies for successful integration of educational technology. Participants will delve into topics such as Alberta's Learning and Technology Policy Framework, Digital Citizenship, and effective technology integration models, while also exploring the potential of AI in education and strategies for ensuring equitable access to technology resources.

In today’s digital age, students need skills such as critical thinking, discerning fact from fiction, effective communication strategies, and reflective technology and social media use. Cultivating a Positive Digital Culture from K-12 is a four-session series designed to help schools create plans and strategies to help K-12 students gain skills necessary for the digital age, foster a safe and responsible digital environment, and tackle online situations of concern. Through learning, conversations, collaboration, and an action-research plan, this session is designed for leaders at all levels.

The EPSB EdTech Summit is a professional development opportunity designed for all staff members. This in-person conference offers a range of concurrent sessions on current and relevant technology topics, including Google Workspace updates, Minecraft for Education, EdTech Leadership, and Artificial Intelligence. Participants have the flexibility to attend all sessions or select those most aligned with their interests.
