What do we do?
We support all of the students and teachers in the JP music program
We raise money to subsidize musical instruments and equipment, music trips, music clinics, music festivals, pizza parties, group swag, concert lighting, and more
Our money comes from working at a Casino every 2 years, the next one is in the Fall of 2023.
We also organize additional semester fundraisers to help students and families pay for trips (Kastelen Fine Meats, World’s Finest Chocolates)
We provide up to four scholarship per year of $1000 to grade 12 students who are undertaking postsecondary studies leading to a diploma or degree in music, music education, or music therapy
Who are we?
All JP music parents can be members of the Jasper Place Music Parents Society (Concert Band, Guitar, Women’s Chorus, Glee Club, Jazz Band, Drum line, Choirs, etc.)
There is one AGM per year, then the Board of Directors normally meets monthly using Google Meet. Every music parent is welcome to join a monthly meeting and we welcome new board members any time. Our meetings last 30 - 45 minutes. We also communicate primarily by email.
