Mrs. Roseke has been teaching dance classes for over twenty years and directing the Jasper Place Dance Program since 2013. From a young age, she performed and trained through studio dancing in Edmonton, which continued throughout her school years. After high school, Mrs. Roseke further expanded her repertoire and exposure to new dance styles in the University of Calgary Dance Program from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. At the University of Calgary, she specifically trained in contemporary, modern, West African dances from Guinea, and Vernacular Jazz. After University, Mrs. Roseke took performance opportunities in Edmonton’s NextFest, Found, and Fringe Festivals.
As an avid believer that learning and improving oneself should never stop, Mrs. Roseke contines to take classes in a variety of styles to enhance her skills. She is passionate about the benefits that dance has for people of all ages, and thoroughly enjoys seeing the young students at Jasper Place constantly surprise themselves with what they can accomplish in a semester and with what skills they can take with them in their future.
It is a privilege to work with such talented and creative students each semester.
