This photo captures an amazing moment, but we need to know more.
That is why we write CAPTIONS.
For every picture we put in the yearbook, on the Pirateer website or in the newsmagazine, we need to know more about the story behind the photo. This is called "caption writing."
First, watch the short video I created to give you some information.
Second, move on to the Self-Directed lesson
and finally, do a practice CAPTION.
On each of the photos in the slide show, write a caption using the formula you learned above and in the video.
The key to good caption writing is PRACTICE!
Also, when you take pictures of your friends and classmates, they want to be identified in the photo. Don't get it wrong!
