Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Overall we have finished one arm of the Trifinger and also is 90% completed at fabricating the bases. We also talked to our sponsors to get a more in-depth idea of how the Tri-finger is going to be used in the lab. We aim to connect the arms to the base and stress-test it before getting new parts to building the second and third arm by the end of the week.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Fabricated and tested one arm when it is not connected to the base.
Fixed 3D printer printing with curling error.
Started applying the Inverse Kinematics to the Arduino.
90% Fabricated the base of the Trifinger Robot.
Finished sorting out and assembling the entire Trifinger Robot.
Goals for This Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Finish fabricating the base of the Trifinger Robot. (Sebastian)
Stress test the arm to move the Trifinger Robot at the most torque. (Sebastian)
Printing and fabricating the base_frame of the Trifinger robot. (Joseph)
Apply Inverse Kinematics to Arduino (Jonathan)
Sort out the remaining parts needed to purchase to create Arm 2 and Arm 3. (Dustin)
Start creating the Dynamics Analysis of the Vertical, Horizontal, and Diagonal arms.
Finish the required Lab Report :

Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate the date of comments and if via email or in-person)
01/12/21 - For 3D print to stop curling, increase bed temperatures, create an enclosure for the 3D printer
01/12/21 - To 3D print large models - sent printing files to Chris
01/12/21 - For Arduino to Matlab data transmission - Contacted Matthew for a meeting
Risks and Areas of Concern:
The data transmission rate for Arduino to Matlab
Possible stress test in practice does not match theoretical calculations
Budget
TECBEARS PLA for 3D Printing - $40.99
Timing gear and Belt - $13.99
