Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Design: Drive mechanism (Prototype #2) is 3D printed. Alternative (curved) drive mechanism is being designed.
Fabrication: Drive mechanism parts are 3D printed at a larger scale. Prototype #2 will be machined this week out of titanium. Remote control prototype is assembled.
Tests: Drive mechanism (prototype #2) will be tested this week. Risk reduction will be assessing if permanent magnetic system can rotate the magnet on the current prototype.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Remote control proof-of-concept was assembled and being modified.
New drive mechanism (prototype #2) was 3D-printed.
CAD design for alternative (curved) drive mechanism was created.
Second part of first draft of report was written.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Macy: Modify and test remote control (RC) design. Transition into Arduino controlled RC.
Dingyi: Push 3D metal printing companies. Assist in machining of prototype #2.
Ashley: Modify and test remote control design. CAD exterior remote control design.
Alec: Begin machining of prototype #2.

Suggestion: Get the prototype working. “I want to see rotating magnets.
Action: Assembled remote parts to demonstrate proof of concept.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Suggestion: Make the drive mechanism curved to the skull
Action: Drive mechanism that would fit to the curvature of the skull
Comment: The possibly to test prototype on a fresh cadaver of human skull.
