Our Animal Shape Book

In Pre-Kindergarten they are constantly learning new skills. For this project they were given different shapes and had to create their own artwork with some guidelines. They had to create an animal using the shapes. This helped them first identify the shapes and afterwards create the animal they wanted. With the help of pictures they were able to create it. Once the animal shape was created we took our IPADs out and took a picture with our artwork. Afterwards, with the guidance of the teacher we used Book Creator to create a classroom book. The students were asked what their favorite animal was and what shapes they used while the teacher typed it out for them. To add another element we recorded ourselves saying what our favorite animal was.

Step 1: The students were each asked what their favorite animals were. Many had similar animals they liked however when it was time to create it they were all unique!

Step 2: They were each given a sheet of paper and different shapes they could use. Then it was time for them to create.

Step 3: Once they finished making the shaped animal, we created a green background so that we could use it when taking our pictures.

Step 4: We took our pictures and uploaded them on Book Creator. Here we each had our own page with our picture and a few words about our art. We even recorded our answers.
