Using the classroom iPads, the students were introduced to the Google Earth App in order to virtually explore different parts of the world. Next, using google slides they wrote interactive mystery paragraphs where the readers must try to solve the crimes!

TOONTASTIC

Students write original stories, choose characters from the library or make their own. Toontastic allows students to recount a story orally and move their characters around the scene as they recite their story.

The application is built to help students organize their ideas. However, this was a very open-ended project where students could engage in playfully, coming up with stories and letting the story evolve as they moved their characters around. This is an example of the stories they came up with.
