Building community together, through empathy and empowerment.
All students have the right to have an equitable experience at William & Mary conducive to success and flourishment. Our administration will empower and advocate for continued support of accessibility services.
Overview & Background
Our administration will continue to advocate for more accessible sidewalks and buildings for all campus members and visitors. Given the frequent construction, we believe it is necessary for frequent and proactive communication of any physical barriers.
Mission & Action Items
Work with Facilities Management and Student Accessibility Services to conduct weekly evaluations of any physical barriers on campus and submitting announcements/postings to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Overview & Background
We believe organizations and extracurricular events should be accessible for all students to their fullest extend. Disability does not affect solely academics, it is crucial that we celebrate inclusivity in all aspects of student life.
Mission & Action Items
Work with the Office of Student Leadership Development and Student Accessibility Services to provide resources and trainings for creating a more inclusive culture with student organizations. Encourage all organizations to evaluate all events and their level of accessibility and/or best practices for accommodations.
Overview & Background
Information should be readily and easily accessibly for all members in our community. Language barriers create difficulties and further the gap in inequity. Thus, we would advocate for multilingual translation for all official university communication and events.
Mission & Action Items
Our administration will work with various campus offices to ensure the availability of translation services of languages present at W&M.
Overview & Background
It can seem daunting, especially for new students, to navigate the resources and offices to receive accommodations. We propose the creation of a peer advocate program to relieve uncertainties and provide comfort from fellow students.
Mission & Action Items
Work with the Dean of Students and Student Accessibility Services to facilitate the creation of a volunteer program where students undergo training and help fellow students with any questions and concerns. This would be an opt-in program--available to only those would would like assistance.
