Why Mayer Supports Terra & Oscar: 

Working with Terra and Oscar in Student Assembly has shown me that they are passionate and ambitious student leaders who could accomplish a lot as leaders of the student body. Their involvement in advocacy highlights their commitment to making the school an equitable place and their current experience shows institutional knowledge that can be utilized to push policy through effectively. 

As a FGLI student, I have taken advantage of so many resources made available to me on this campus through the work of student advocates inside and outside of Student Assembly. Likewise, I want to make sure that future classes of W&M students have the same resources to succeed as I have, and work to make this as welcoming and nurturing of a space as possible.

Why Alissa Supports Terra & Oscar: 

As someone who has not had a large part in Student Assembly, Terra and Oscar were the first people to make me truly understand and feel connected to it. They are passionate about the student body at William and Mary and have the dedication and drive necessary to improve our school by implementing policies that meet student needs.

It’s no secret that the best part of William and Mary is the people, so it is crucial that we speak up for each other. Students understand the needs of the student body best. Terra and Oscar’s compassion is evident to anyone who has met them and they possess the skills to listen and turn student voices into realistic goals and policies.
