Other Campus Involvements:

Reeder Media Center Employee, Child Language Lab Research Assistant, Monroe Scholar, Flat Hat Newspaper Graphic Design Member, WCWM Radio, Sentara Regional Medical Center Volunteer, Freelance Photographer

Platform Interests:

Given my study focus in Psychology and ambitions to become a clinical therapist, I am most interested in the mental health and wellness (as well as general Health and Safety) initiatives Terra and Oscar hope to instate under their administration, though their platform contains many other incredible policies of interest!

Why Monica Supports Terra & Oscar:

Terra and Oscar’s passion for student wellbeing at William & Mary shines not only through their many meaningful involvements on campus but through their characters as individuals. Mutually, they commit themselves to impactful work and continue to demonstrate their capacity for and fluency in leading teams and advancing policies where they believe gaps should be addressed. I’ve known Terra well since our first year on campus, and I have seen firsthand the time, thought, and dedication she pours into each of her endeavors while maintaining kindhearted friendships and values; I have no doubt that her and Oscar’s collaboration will serve as a testament to these practices. I trust that, if granted the opportunity to represent the student body, they would do so humbly, effectively, and compassionately to support our peers and advocate in a wide variety of spaces.

The people are undoubtedly the best part of William & Mary, and with that, we all deserve policies that will support our well-being, success, and joy during undergrad, regardless of personal circumstances or identity. Being involved in Student Assembly for over two years, I have found great comfort in knowing there are opportunities for students to become involved in our own advocacy, and I am eager to support an administration that is empowered to take advantage of their platforms as students to support others.
