The Continuing Education Bachelor's Degree Program in Bio-Industry Management, abbreviated as 'BPBIM,' was originally the 'Department of Agricultural Management.' It was officially established in August 1993 within the evening division of National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) to provide advanced education opportunities to agricultural workers in central Taiwan. The College of Agriculture at NCHU is distinguished by its faculty, facilities, and research. Therefore, the Ministry of Education sanctioned the formation of the Department of Agricultural Management in the Night School, initially enrolling 50 students, reserving half the spots for working professionals, with admission contingent on passing a joint entrance examination for university night schools.
Currently, the BPBIM admits students through Independent Recruitment Examinations. Although there is no longer a quota reserved for working professionals, evening classes continue to be offered, maintaining the university's commitment to the principles and spirit of lifelong education.
