Needs to be rescued
6/7/2024 In the Heat
It took me a while to meditate on why God let me wait in the hit for more than 4.5 hours after a wonderful time with a dear friend in Phoenix area. I know that God does things for His own purpose.
I think that I understand it now.
This was my own problem/struggle. I didn't see sin as my own problem in the very beginning of my spiritual journey.
I don't know where I saw this Bible Project for the first time. I just love it!! They have helped me understand God's word more, and also, the best thing is that even Michelle loves to watch them! Ha. It is so much fun when you can enjoy something with the little ones!! Since I have these videos from Bible Project to help me understand God's stories better, I will use them here when I see fit.
Old Testament
From Genesis to Chronicles (the order in the Bible Project Reading Plan in YouVersion App), it took Julie and I 285 days this year to complete reading the Old Testament! Ha. It's more than half of a year for sure.
Why is there a talking snake in this great garden? - A strange world (movie title)
Mutual destruction?
Restoring the heart from suffering the wound and coming back from death!
Restoration!
New Testament
The Gospel - ancient biographies of Jesus, which means good news - the time has fulfilled: good news about God's kingdom arriving. In the beginning God created a good world, but humanity rebels and rebels. Jesus brought the good news about the Kingdom of God.
You are My Son, My Beloved; with you I am Well Pleased - Psalm 2:7, Genesis 22:2, Isaiah 42:1
Four accounts represent the different focuses of Jesus' stories - Matthew presents Jesus as greater Moses; Luke presents how Jesus is God's royal servant; Mark presents Jesus as a new start in humanity; John focuses on Jesus' claim as Yahweh.
On 8/24/2022, we are starting to read the New Testament in this Bible Project Reading Plan. I look forward to reading the New Testament with the Bible Project!
