JGHS administers the PSAT to all 10th and 11th graders annually in October. No registration is required.
It is recommended that students begin to take standardized exams in the Spring of Junior year. To register for the SAT or ACT, students must create an account on the websites below and register for exam dates by the corresponding deadlines.

For 12th graders in the college application process, please note that students must request their scores directly through the CollegeBoard or ACT website for colleges to receive official scores.

*Students approved to take the SAT with school-based testing accommodations can register for the October, November, December, March, or June administration. Site-based accommodations are available for all SAT administration dates.*
Please note that it takes at least 6 weeks to be approved by College Board for testing accommodations. It is best to submit this consent form as early as possible. Once approved accommodations can be used for all College Board exams (AP, PSAT, SAT) throughout high school.

SAT and ACT PREPARATION
FREE SAT Prep Course at JGHS
Three 8-week courses will likely be offered in January, February, and April of 2025 . Sessions will take place after school 1-2x per week.
John Glenn High School also offers FREE SAT/ACT preparation through Method Learning. This is a free web-based course that helps students score higher on the SAT and ACT and builds their math, reading, and writing skills at no cost to the students. To access the program, sign into your Castle Learning account by going to www.castlelearning.com, and click "Methodize." Students use their ID number as their code. Once in the site, click on SAT or ACT and all the directions are there.
