JGHS administers the PSAT to all 10th and 11th graders annually in October. No registration is required.
It is recommended that students begin to take standardized exams in the Spring of Junior year. To register for the SAT or ACT, students must create an account on the websites below and register for exam dates by the corresponding deadlines.
SAT: www.collegeboard.org
ACT: www.actstudent.org
For 12th graders in the college application process, please note that students must request their scores directly through the CollegeBoard or ACT website for colleges to receive official scores.
TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS
If you would like to request testing accommodations for the SAT or ACT, please complete this form. Additional information for requesting these accommodations can be found on the corresponding testing's website:
College Board SSD ACT Accommodations
*Students approved to take the SAT with school-based testing accommodations can register for the October, November, December, March, or June administration. Site-based accommodations are available for all SAT administration dates.*
To apply for College Board accommodations for your student, please complete the consent form. Please note that submitting a request for accommodations does not guarantee approval from College Board.
Accommodation requests will be submitted to College Board at three designated points throughout the year. College Board typically takes approximately seven weeks to process these requests and provide a response. It is essential to ensure that accommodation requests are submitted well in advance of exam dates to allow for processing time. You can view College Board's accommodation request deadlines, based on SAT exam dates, by clicking here . Once approved accommodations can be used for all College Board exams (AP, PSAT, SAT) throughout high school.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Fritch at lfritch@elwood.k12.ny.us or reach out to the main office.
