PSAT Information

The PSAT is offered to all 10th and 11th grade students.  Students are automatically signed up for this exam. PSAT is offered each year in October at JGHS.

The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) will be offered to all Sophomores and Juniors on October 25th.  The PSAT will be given at JGHS, on exam day students  should bring their fully charged Chromebook.  


The PSAT is a preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test given to 10th and 11th grade students. Only juniors can qualify for National Merit. It is important for sophomores to take the PSAT so they can practice for the junior year PSAT. The PSAT also gives students access to college and career planning tools.  Sample questions are available at www.collegeboard.org.  


Juniors may qualify for the National Merit, National Achievement or National Hispanic Scholarship based on performance on the PSAT:

Accommodations 

If you would like to request test accommodations for the PSAT please complete and return a consent form


**Please note that it takes at least 6 weeks to be approved by College Board for testing accommodations. It is best to submit this consent form as early as possible. Once approved accommodations can be used for all College Board exams (AP, PSAT, SAT) throughout high school.  **
