Welcome to Senior Year! This is the year to apply to college and take action toward establishing your future plans. Your counselor will be with you every step of the way to help you get to the finish line successfully.

1:1 post-secondary planning meeting with every senior - ALL seniors must make an appointment regardless of their plans for after high school.
College Visits throughout the Fall: Admission representatives from many colleges and universities will visit John Glenn throughout the Fall. This is your chance to learn about their programs, and campus life, ask questions, and demonstrate your interest. If you plan on applying to a college that is visiting John Glenn, you are strongly encouraged to attend their visit. *You can find the College Visits schedule in Naviance and must register in advance to attend*
Fall Common App lunch workshops
Campus Connections - connecting students with JGHS graduates at a college of their interest to learn first-hand information
Fall College Consortium - 50+ college representatives come to JGHS for a mini college fair during the school day
College Application Completion event - an after-school event to give seniors the time, space, and direct assistance in submitting college applications
On-Site Admissions Events (LIU, Suffolk CCC, and Farmingdale) - Opportunity to meet with admissions counselors who will review student applications on the spot and provide an immediate admissions decision as well as scholarship information. Students MUST sign up in Guidance to participate.
